Driven Pheasant Shooting

Driven Pheasant Shooting is a centuries-old European-style of shooting that combines old-world traditions, beautiful landscapes, and challenging wing shots to create a “nirvana” of sorts for sporting shotgunners and gamebird hunting enthusiasts.

Still today, Driven Shooting experiences can be found throughout the UK, but have also become increasingly more popular and accessible in the US where shooters can experience this exciting style of shooting without having to spend the time, money, and endure the hassle of international travel.

Joshua Creek Ranch, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, has been featuring European-style Driven Pheasant Shooting as part of its world-class wingshooting program since 1990.

Multiple drive sites for European-style driven pheasant shooting have been developed all over the ranch. Rugged areas and elevations above the bottom lands are used to drive pheasants high over a line of shooters. Just imagine scores of iridescent, hard-flying, ringneck pheasant exploding from limestone bluffs and ridges then lifting high overhead to challenge shooters’ skills and instincts.

The benefit of an Open Line Shoot is that shooters don't have to round up a minimum group size to enjoy these unique hunting opportunities. Simply join an Open Line Shoot solo, or bring a small group to enjoy a Decoyed Mallard Duck Hunt and/or European-Style Driven Pheasant Shoot with other wingshooting enthusiasts. Reservations for Open Line Shoots are required. Please confirm each Open Line Shoot date. Days and times changes and some dates may not be available due to holidays or private events. Each Open Line Shoot is subject to cancellation if less than 4 total shooters have booked.
